BARBARELLA & THE QUEENS OF THE GALAXY

"Barbarella" -if you don't already know- is a cult sci-fi film from 1960s based on a French comic book series. She is a space adventurer on a mission to save the world.

This project is Bárbara's deep dive out into the universe beyond flamenco.

Bárbara Martínez spends most of her performing traditional flamenco all around the city and beyond, but she also loves writing songs. You can thank the pandemic for most of this new music, which is funky, jazzy and kind of poppy. And you can thank her band of female musicians for bringing it to life!
